Hi, I am Yuxuan Han, and I am mainly focusing on Social Psychology and part of Clinical Psychology.

I am currently studying psychology at KU Leuven as an exchange student, and I am majoring in International Relations (IR) at my home university, Xi'an Jiaotong-Liverpool University (XJTLU) in Suzhou, China. Over the years, psychology has played a significant role in International Studies and Global Governance. It helps explain various policies and actions taken by governments, such as the Ukraine War. My bachelor's major has provided me with a solid foundation to experience society, handle basic statistical methods in Social Sciences, and observe the world in an academic and systematic way.

My research interest is the art therapy and objectification circle under different social contexts. I led the research under the guidance of Ms Yuan Yuan at XJTLU to examine arts therapy, which is based on the previous research conducted by Tongji University and Shanghai Pudong Mental Health Center. In the study, a series of Chinese traditional culture activity workshops were conducted to examine the participants' (most are university students) emotional change, and the result indicated that art therapy help participants to gain better self-consistency and self-congruence (p=.009).

In 2023, I led the self-objectification research under the guidance of Ms Shiyu Jiang, a professional psychotherapist in China. In this research, we examined participants' self-objectification and enjoyment of sexualization levels under three different interpersonal contexts (strangers, colleagues, and friends). The academic journal article is in the process.

Currently, I am enrolled in a Social Psychology course offered by Prof. Scott Plous from Wesleyan University as an essential replenishment of my psychology knowledge structure.
