I have done my bachelors and masters in Chemical Engineering. Started working in the R&D department for a process industry and in 1998, joined the IT bandwagon and continuing in the IT industry since then. As part of my overseas assignment, I have worked in the United States for 5 years and in Norway for 2 years. The rest of the tenure is in India.
I have worked in various capacities as part of my employment - software developer, system integrator, project/program manager, portfolio manager. During my employment, I have come to realize the very interesting part of my career so far is the people management. Once I reached the position where I had to manage people in addition to the deliverables, different aspects of people's behavior got me interested in the social psychology. My stay in countries other than India got me exposed to their cultures and people's behavior. This prompted me to focus on people's behavior in organizations. I am presently doing my Ph.D in Management Sciences specializing Organizational Behavior, in Karunya University, Coimbatore in Tamil Nadu, India. Currently, I have taken up research work in Performance management and Self-monitoring.
I am an avid reader - mostly science and non-fiction. Richard Dawkins is my favorite writer. My interests are varied - design, farming, motorcycling and photography. I am a regular biker (bicycling in India).
I am an optimist by nature and very confident person.
