Chronic Disease Self-Management and HRQoL

As a Ph.D. candidate in psychology, the focus of my dissertation is on the health-related quality of life (HRQoL) of people with endometriosis and examining the impact of using complementary self-care therapies to self-manage endometriosis. My specific research interests are self-managing chronic inflammatory and autoimmune diseases, especially those related to endocrinology, and exploring the role of psychoneuroimmunology in managing such diseases. My passion is empowering people through encouragement and education to self-manage their chronic health conditions and improve their mental and physical health. Conducting research on the effectiveness of using complementary self-care therapies to self-manage chronic diseases is my goal for post-doctoral work.
