I am a full time professor at Lehigh Carbon Community College and I teach in the psychology department. Every semester I teach Introduction to Psychology. usually both online and face-to-face, although I am focusing more on the face-to-face classes. I love teaching face-to-face because it allows me to interact on a regular basis with all of the students in the classroom.

In addition to Introduction to Psychology, I teach a number of other psychology courses, including Psychology as a Major, Reading and Understanding Research, Child Development, Social Psychology and Research Methods. Each semester the combination of courses may vary.

One other thing that I do on campus is to advise the LCCC chapter of Psi Beta. I have been very fortunate to serve Psi Beta on the national level as a Vice President and President and I continue to support the national, regional and local initiatives.

I am a member of a national project, the General Psychology Initiative (GPI). In this capacity I am working with a team of collaborators from Metropolitan State University in Denver, Missouri State University, Duke University, and Moravian College. We are specifically examining various models and designs of the course and are looking to make recommendations with 4 other work teams. It is a huge project, but extremely interesting to see what other campuses are doing.

I am very proud to be recently named as a Consulting Editor for the APA journal on the Scholarship of Teaching and Learning. I am looking forward to working on this new project and specifically encouraging community college faculty to consider projects on their teaching and learning.

On campus, I am also very involved as a member of a team working on Quality Matters, which is an effort to ensure good quality online course design and I serve on the College Curriculum Committee.
