"He who conquers others is strong; he who conquers himself is mighty."

I'm currently an office assistant for a wonderful facility called Conscious Choices. It's a small psycho-spiritual counseling center that has opened my eyes to a more holistic view in just my three months of working here. I've always considered myself to have an open-mind but having my boss as a mentor has really challenged my pre-conceived notions. Right now, I'm also taking free online courses, volunteering on a crisis hotline, and preparing myself to attend graduate school next Fall. I plan to earn my masters degree in Mental Health Counseling and afterwards get accredited in not only counseling but art therapy as well. There is a lot of coursework in my future but there is also a lot of self-work that I genuinely look forward to!
Along with Social Psychology, I have many related interests such as Cognitive Psychology, Cognitive Behavior Therapy, Marriage and Family Counseling, Abnormal Psychology, Addiction Disorders, and prevention, diagnosis, and treatment of mental disorders.
