My name is Urvashi and I am from India. I am trained as a physician and public health professional. I love working with children on their health, nutrition, education and rights issues. In the past I have worked with UNICEF, WHO, HelpAge India and most recently Public Health Foundation of India. I currently hold an early career grant from the World Heart Federation on youth advocacy to promote smoke free public places. Travelling and dancing are my two big passions. I like to travel to remote, rural areas within India and abroad exploring culture, history and nature. Dance would be that idea that changed my life, transforming a timid, helpless girl into a confident person! I am absolutely new to social psychology and hope to gain some beginner insights to help me understand the social determinants of health better. I am fascinated so far!
