Educator and activist, working for social justice.

I am an educator, activist and lifelong learner focusing on issues around sexual and reproductive health, equality and social justice. With my recent M.A. in Sociology from American University (2012) and a BFA in Theatre, I possess a unique combination of skills and background, which combined with my work experience, enable me to motivate, inspire and educate using interactive and engaging methods. Over 10 years as an educator in a variety of settings provides me with the skill to connect with learners of all ages and varied backgrounds. With a deep belief in fostering critical thought processes and facilitating deep discussions, I aspire to engage and empower people so we can collaboratively create a better world. My primary area of interest focuses on sexual and reproductive health and justice, but also includes the many other interrelated areas pertaining to social justice. Interactive education techniques are my specialty. Ideally, my work makes a difference by empowering individuals and groups to create change in their communities, and the larger global community.
