I grew up in one of the most rural places here in the Philippines. I'm the eldest and the only one in the family that finished a Bachelor's degree. I work hard (and have varied jobs) in order for me to help my younger siblings to also finish their studies. And yes, I belong and was raised by a poor family, but I don't pity myself or felt insecure about it since it is one of the factors that made who I am today.
My curiosity on Psychology begun when I was 10 years old and was very ill. It was at that time that I was thinking of my death since I felt that I am dying. My mind wandered on what will I become if I die, and if ever I had done my purpose on that 10 years of existence. I begun thinking then on what's the purpose of living, on why people did the things that they do.
I wanted to study Psychology, but to my disappointment, our state university didn't offer Psychology course, so I opted to the Political Science degree. I was a university scholar back then and a varsity player, so that means my tuition fee was all free. There are private universities that have Psychology courses on their departments but I can't transfer since I don't have enough money to pursue the said course.
Nowadays, I'm busy with social media works and is working home based as well as on a BPO company. I'm happy with the jobs that I have and grateful that in one way or another, I'm living my life to the fullest. I'm also pursuing my love for Psychology since I am planning to study again and take the Psychology course on one of our private universities here in our locality.
