CALL FOR ABSTRACTS
STANFORD UNDERGRADUATE PSYCHOLOGY CONFERENCE
-- Saturday, May 19th, 2007 --
We are pleased to announce the Seventh Annual Stanford Undergraduate Psychology Conference (SUPC), to take place at Stanford University on Saturday, May 19th, 2007. Abstracts must be submitted online by Wednesday, April 4th, 2007.
Sponsored in part by the Department of Psychology and the School of Humanities and Sciences at Stanford University, SUPC is a showcase for high-quality undergraduate research. It also provides an opportunity for participating students to exchange ideas and to make valuable contacts. Along these lines, we are looking for students who have performed interesting, quality research, who are excited about discussing their work with other students and psychologists.
The keynote speaker for this year's conference is Dr. Ian H. Gotlib, Professor of Psychology, Director of the Mood and Anxiety Disorders Laboratory, and Senior Associate Dean of the Social Sciences at Stanford University. Dr. Gotlib has made innumerable contributions to the field of clinical psychology, in general, and to our understanding of depression, in particular, and we look forward to his talk, which will broadly discuss psychological and biological factors that place individuals at increased risk for depression.
All undergraduates are encouraged to apply. For more information about SUPC, and to submit abstracts online, please visit:
