The Developmental position would be appropriate for a social psychologists who studies developmental issues.
Loyola University Chicago (LUC), Department of Psychology, invites applications for two open faculty positions. The first is a tenure-track appointment at any level (rank open) in Developmental Psychology. Although applicants in all areas of Developmental Psychology will be considered, those with expertise in social development or developmental social cognition would fulfill current needs. Applicants who could contribute to LUC’s interdisciplinary programs in Asian, Black World, Latin American, Religious, or Women Studies are encouraged to apply.
The second position is for a tenure-track appointment at the assistant professor level in Clinical Psychology with a strong preference for candidates with expertise in neuropsychology and neuropsychological assessment. Candidates who could meaningfully contribute to LUC’s interdisciplinary undergraduate neuroscience program are especially welcome. Candidates with interests in late adolescence and /or substance abuse would help to fill additional needs. Candidates for the Clinical position should be licensed or license-eligible.
The Department of Psychology offers the baccalaureate degree and the doctorate in Clinical, Developmental, and Social Psychology. Successful candidates for both positions will be expected to teach and mentor at the graduate and undergraduate levels (including clinical supervision of graduate students at our on-campus counseling center for the Clinical candidates). Applicants should have a PhD in the appropriate area of psychology, and have a record of (or clear potential for) distinguished scholarship, grant-funded research, and student mentorship.
