Dear Colleagues,
We are conducting a meta-analysis on cognitive ability in relationship with right-wing ideological attitudes and prejudice. Currently, we are looking for unpublished data on these relationships.
To meet our inclusion criteria the studies needs to include:
* at least one measure of cognitive ability (e.g., verbal ability, mathematical ability, reasoning ability, general ability, memory, visual perception)
AND
* at least one measure of right-wing ideological attitudes (e.g., authoritarianism, social dominance orientation, conservatism, dogmatism) OR one measure of prejudice (e.g., racism, sexism, general prejudice, ethnocentrism).
If you have or know of any unpublished work that might be relevant, we would really appreciate to hear about it so that we can include them in our meta-analysis. Of course, we will definitely cite the source of all relevant data in our paper. If you are interested in the results, we can send you our final paper.
If you would like to share your data, you can email us at: emma.onraet@ugent.be. We would like to have more information on:
* the strength of the relationship (preferably a correlation, but other statistics are fine as well).
* the measure for cognitive ability (tests used to measure ability)
* the measure for right-wing ideological attitudes or prejudice
* sample size
* type of sample (children, adolescents, students, young adults, adults)
* sex composition of sample (female-only, male-only, mixed)
* location of the sample (USA/Canada, Europe, other)
* time of data collection
Thank you for your time and for considering our request,
Emma Onraet
