If you are interested in one of these opportunities, attached you will find a copy of the vacancy announcement. This announcement closes on February 19, 2014.
The Division of Behavioral and Cognitive Sciences (BCS) supports research to develop and advance scientific knowledge about humans, spanning areas of inquiry including brain and behavior, language and culture, origins and evolution, and geography and the environment. NSF offers a rare opportunity for scientists, engineers, and educators to join us as a temporary program director also called “rotators”. In this leadership position, you will make recommendations about which proposals to fund; influence new directions in your area of science, engineering, and education; support cutting-edge interdisciplinary research. As a rotator, you will be in a prime position to collaborate and work with other experts in many related areas of science. You can become a rotator either as a Visiting Scientist, Engineer and Educator (VSEE) or as an Intergovernmental Personnel Act (IPA) assignee. Find out more about our rotator program at:
http://nsf.gov/careers/rotator/
We will be delighted to answer any questions you may have regarding these positions. Please contact Mark Weiss, Division Director at mweiss@nsf.gov or (703) 292-7272 or Amber Story, Deputy Division Director at astory@nsf.gov or (703) 292-7249.
