Southwestern University seeks applicants for a full-time visiting position in psychology at the assistant professor level. This position is for the 2011-2012 academic year with the opportunity to apply for a tenure track position to begin fall 2012 following a national search. Applicants should have a PhD. in psychology and a commitment to excellence in teaching, and be able to teach introductory psychology and courses in their area of specialization. Although we will consider highly qualified candidates in any area of psychology, desirable courses include research methods, cross-cultural psychology, health psychology, human factors, industrial organizational psychology, lifespan development, and relationships. The ability to engage students in collaborative research is also desirable, and laboratory facilities for human and non-human animals are available for this purpose.
