Dear Social and Personality Psychologists,
Lani Shiota, José Soto, and I would like to call your attention to the 2011 Emotion Preconference, which will be held in conjunction with the annual meeting of the Society of Personality and Social Psychology (SPSP) in San Antonio, TX, USA, at the Henry B. Gonzalez Convention Center. The Emotion Preconference will take place on Thursday, January 27, 2011, and will run from approximately 8:30 am to 4:30 pm.
This year's meeting promises to be excellent. We will host invited addresses by Barbara L. Fredrickson and Daniel Kahneman. We'll also host two symposia. One will feature Christopher K. Hsee, Jennifer S. Lerner, and Baba Shiv as speakers addressing links between emotion and decision making. The other will feature Nathan S. Consedine, Sally S. Dickerson, and Judith T. Moskowitz addressing links between emotion and health.
The deadline for poster abstract submission is Monday, November 1, 2010. More information about the conference (including poster abstract submission guidelines) can be found at:
