 NETLOGO and Spatial Distribution Simulations
Posted by: Ken Robey

I'm a social psychologist working in the disability not-for-profit sector. I'm beginning to play with agent-based modeling to look at spatial distribution in the "Not in My Back Yard" (NIMBY) phenomenon. Specifically, I'm using NETLOGO, and using existing simulations of Schelling's segregation model as starting points. Problem is, my NETLOGO skills are a bit limited.

Does anyone have a student familiar with NETLOGO who might be willing to donate an hour or two to the effort in exchange for the opportunity to put some volunteer consulting time on their c.v.? If so, please pass on my email address: research@matheny.org. Thanks much.
