 Can You Avoid Segregation?
Posted by: Scott Plous

As part of UnderstandingPrejudice.org, Social Psychology Network has released a new interactive learning resource on the topic of segregation:

http://www.understandingprejudice.org/segregation/

Building on the work of Nobel Laureate Thomas Schelling, the new resource shows how mild social preferences at the individual level can generate surprising patterns of segregation at the group level, and how the same dynamic can be used to reverse segregation.

Instructors interested in using this resource are also welcome to visit the following page for teaching ideas:

Note: Funding for this project was generously provided by Wesleyan University and the National Science Foundation.
