Hi All,
With the widespread adoption and decreasing prices of smartphones (e.g., iPhones), these devices are sure to play an increasingly important role in allowing psychologists to get out of the lab and away from undergraduate populations to study what real people do in their everyday lives. It's probably only a glimpse of things to come but here's one new iPhone app that could be useful to social science researchers:
I suspect the program would require some tweaking in cases where research participants recorded their behaviors, but it hints at the research potential afforded by these devices.
