University of California, Merced: Professor or Associate Professor (tenured) position in health psychology/behavioral medicine.

Research focus within this area is open. This is a unique opportunity to join a growing faculty in psychology at a new UC campus, and to contribute to program development. UC Merced is experiencing strong developments in interdisciplinary health sciences research and education. We seek outstanding scholars who will establish and fund creative research programs, join in leading the development of a specialization in health psychology/behavioral medicine, participate in the development of innovative interdisciplinary programs and research, and teach effectively at both the undergraduate and graduate levels. The successful candidate will have a doctorate in health psychology, behavioral medicine, or a closely related field like social or personality psychology; a strong record of publication, leadership, and external grant funding; interests in program-building; and a commitment to excellence and experience in teaching.
