Ohio Wesleyan University invites applications for an Assistant Professor of Personality Psychology tenure track position.
Ohio Wesleyan University (www.owu.edu) is a selective, private, undergraduate liberal arts, residential institution founded in 1842 and is located just 20 miles north of Columbus.
The Psychology Department at Ohio Wesleyan University seeks to fill a tenure track position in personality psychology to begin August 2013. The successful candidate will teach six courses per year including introductory psychology, personality theory and psychological assessment, and psychological adjustment. Preference will be given to those prepared to teach one or more of the following: psychology of gender, cross-cultural psychology, history of psychology, and inter-group relations. Candidates should have a Ph. D. in psychology completed by August 1, 2013, a strong commitment to undergraduate teaching in a liberal arts context, and a well-articulated plan for an active research program that involves advanced undergraduates. Postdoctoral research and evidence of teaching excellence are preferred.
