The University of St. Thomas (St. Paul, MN), Department of Psychology is seeking a candidate for a tenure track position in Social Psychology at the rank of Assistant Professor beginning in the Fall of 2013. Primary teaching responsibilities for this position include: (a) Social Psychology, (b) Cross-Cultural Psychology, and (c) a laboratory course in social psychology. Other teaching responsibilities might include General Psychology, Research Methods and upper-level courses in the candidate’s area of expertise.
The successful applicant will be expected to pursue a vigorous research program in her or his area of interest involving undergraduate students, to advise students, and to become involved in departmental, university, and community activities. The psychology department has laboratory space and facilities that can be used for a variety of research purposes.
Qualifications include: PhD preferred, but ABD (with initial appointment at the rank of instructor) considered, in Social Psychology or related fields. The department especially seeks individuals able to work with diverse students and colleagues, who have experience with a variety of teaching methods and perspectives, and who are committed to working in a liberal arts setting.
