Our organization, StubbyDog is a 501c3, whose sole purpose is to disseminate content that will help change public perceptions of pit bulls. We are particularly interested in individuals whose work is focused on: Applied Social Psychology, Communication, Persuasion/Social Influence, Prejudice/Stereotyping, etc. In addition, would welcome inquires from members who find the particular issue/challenge of interest. We have engaged some of the world’s leading media, communications and marketing professionals, along with all the other prerequisite key stakeholders necessary to achieve success, as well as a few social psychologists. Please see the co-founders bios below. Please email Landon Pollack at landon@ignite-vp.com for additional information. Michael Mountain is past President and co-founder of Best Friends Animal Society, which led the nationwide campaign to bring an end to the killing of homeless pets in shelters in the early 1990s, more than 15 million dogs and cats were being killed in shelters every year. By the end of the decade that number had dropped to below 5 million. Landon Pollack is an entrepreneur and venture capitalist of 20 years, with a deep personal passion for pit bulls and all animals. We were led to found the StubbyDog Project out of seeing, from our different perspectives, that existing approaches were missing the critical element necessary to affect perceptions – actually making the situation for these dogs worse. The co-founders will leverage their prior success and relationships to support The StubbyDog Project. Michael Mountain built Best Friends to a nearly $40-million grassroots donation base, and Landon Pollack has been a founder or founding investor in over a dozen companies.
